A/C Fix for 2010 F 150?
Has anyone found a fix for the 2010 F150 A/C. I know many people will say it works fine, however, it does not blow as cold as it should and to get some wind moving you gotta put the fan on level 4! Has anyone heard of a mod, or had the dealership correct this problem for the?

Have you checked your blend door under the dashboard to see if it's closing all of the way. Blend door is a common problem with our trucks. Also your have a electric control panel verses a manual twist style. A vacuum leak can be present.

Mine doesn't seem to work like other vehicles I have had; however, I have noticed that if it is 100 degrees outside, turning it to 65 degrees does not seem to cool as efficiently as setting it at 72 degrees or so. Also, seems to work better in Auto tahn manual mode. Still would like it to blow colder

I know by experience that its normal on f-150's to have bad a/c, but they should blow cold a/c so i took my 2010 fx4 to the dealer and yup, some band had broken so it didnt cool so they fixed it, took them 3 days and know its better than our silverado. (which is great!)

When you switch your ac on. Try turning it from defrost to ac max, listen for the vacuum sound coming from the switch panel. If you here that, that's a good thing. If you don't check for a vacuum leak. If you pull the vent covers off and look to see if the blend door is opening and closing.

Still not satisfied with my 2011 A/C. Have temps up to 110 last month or so. I've noticed unlike other vehicles I've had that parking in the sun vs the shade makes a big difference, i.e. 15-30 mins to cold air from vent vs 2-5 min. I'm specifically just talking temp out of the vent, not the time to cool the cabin.
I'm tempted similar to another member to wrap the suction line with insulation and HVAC tape. Maybe something is routed in a non-optimal way.
I'm sure the sterling grey isn't helping me but nonetheless have had better performance from cheaper older vehicles.
If I get too annoyed I might have to do some cheap data acquisition with a thermocouple and post some plots under various scenarios.
