A/C in 2013
Well, my tale of woe is similar to many of you. I had a 2000 Lariat Super Cab, and the air was pitiful. It took forever to cool the cabin, and couldn't keep up on those Michigan 90 degree, 90% humidity days. I told my wife that I couldn't wait to get my new truck so I could have some decent A/C.....Hahahahahahaha. What a let down.
Anyhow, I may try the insulation deal, but I've read that there's some possible negative side effects to it.
I wish there was an easy way to force the air to stay on, fuel economy be damned.
I'm no mechanic, and here's the proof....LOL. Would a slightly bigger pully on the A/C compressor make a difference? A good difference that is...hahaha.

no complaints with my 14...after about 5 mins the air is ice cold which is acceptable...have to remember these trucks absorb a lot of heat...in fact the ac in my 14 crew is a lot better than my 07 scab

Max AC set to 4 fan speed on the dial blows at 42-44 degrees! Wife's 14 Equinox 3 on fan Speed, regular not Max AC blows 33-36 degrees!
My 07 H3 with 113k miles before I traded it on my F-150 was the same as the Equinox, both would Frreze you outn 5 mins. Or Less! Both also had & have Black leather! Never had to turn any of my GM's to Max AC to cool Down!
Wish my F-150 was the Same.... The AC is my only Complaint on my truck!

I have a 2013, Blue Jean, so it's pretty dark exterior, with the gray cloth interior. I live in GA, so it gets pretty hot here (90 plus today) with crazy humidity. Mine seems to be working great. I do have tinted front passenger windows (20%, and it made an even bigger difference than I expected as far as keeping it cool in there).
Drive a few miles with the re circulation button on, seems to do the trick for me.

Compared to my 2002, my 2011 doesn't blow as cold. My father even said the same thing. But honestly, it just feels like the interior of this truck is hotter or holds more heat. The roof and headliner along with the whole area between the windshield and dash just seem to get hotter or let more heat in than my old truck.
