They are simply the best A/T made IMO. I can't wait to get some for my new F150. 10 Ply comes in mighty handy when you're running over mesquite bushes in Texas.
yep. 10 ply arent as much for load as they are for keeping your tires inflated when you are 20 miles from the road

you will notice it, don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

my 305/55/20 terra graplers are ~70 lb i believe - and it certainly made a difference on acceleration and braking. i have the ecoboost, so can't speak to your engine, but after a couple weeks i didn't really notice it - and i still have just excessive amounts of power so it's fine.

it hit the fuel mpg by about 2-3mpg (depending on speeds and traffic)

i am with you, don't see any need for the 10-ply tire. they really make the truck ride rougher over the sharp edge bumps (oklahoma has tons of pot holes and crap repair jobs), they are heavy (rotating sucks big time), and i don't offroad enough to justify 10-ply for puncture resistance. but like you've found, nobody makes 6-ply in this size range

Seems like the loss of power would justify a chip upgrade then

Yea it would, just not going to. I know this is super hypocritical but I want to keep as much as I can stock. I want a larger slightly more aggressive tire for the camps and hunting properties I drive a grill guard and that's it. I have the ESP and Maint plans and I use them. Just don't want to chip. I modded the hell out of my first 2 f150's. I want this one to drive the way it did when I bought it, that being impossible with changing tire sizes, I want it to be as close as it can with accommodating my needs.

I JUST bought (like 30 min ago) a set of 275/60/20 BFG Rugged Terrains, normal ply, not E rated. I've only driven 20 miles, but these are 33" tall and ride very quiet and very well compared to the Scorpions were on. I wanted quiet, but a more aggressive AT (I have some land I hunt on and need better than OEM tires). I can try em for 30 days and if they don't work for me, I can swap em for something else (discount tire).

I can't feel any difference in acceleration with this set (even with the OEM set in the back). I can tell the braking and cornering is better over the OEM. Its not an E rated tire, but I didn't want one for this truck.

I'm with everyone else, just no need for an E load tire. I'll be going with either the Cooper AT3 or Hankook Dynapro ATM when it comes time for new shoes.
