Default In Buying process... Need advice QUICK!

I'm currently in the process of buying a truck and have ran into an issue, and need your opinions/advice.

I'm working a deal right now on a 2012 F150 XLT 5.0 Screw 157" that MSRP's at 41,720.

My price limit out the door is set at no more than $33,000. The dealer right now is giving me a price of $37580 including dealer fees. I will get the "standard" $5000 Ford rebates (including the 1k for financing) but I also qualify for the $500 student, $500 military, and have the $750 private cash .

They are saying I can only use one of the three (I think this is technically true, but I have seen posts saying their dealer combined the $750 with one of the $500 offers), which puts me at $5750 in rebates and a final OTD price of $34,322.

I'm not comfortable with the number, so I said no. What do you guys think? Is $33,000 a reasonable and achievable number? I feel as if they can still go into their invoice more and can combine at least one of the $500 offers with the $750.

NEED your advice please!!

I just purchased my new FX2 and got a great deal. Alot of the advice i got from this site called carbuyingtips.com. I think it will answer a lot of your questions. Regarding yours, you are entitled to all 3 rebates and you should never negotiate from MSRP or Invoice Pricing. Negotiate from dealer cost(how much the dealer paid for the vehicle) and go from there. hope this helps you as it did me!

Find a dealer with a similar truck for less money. Buy dealer b's truck or show dealer a the price at dealer b. Dealer shopping is the only way to make sure you're getting a better deal

They will need to clear 2012s to make room for 2013s soon, so make sure they know you're doing them a favor.

They are robbing you. When I purchased my FX4 ecoboost the sticker was 46,700. I walked out the door financing 36,600 and only put down 1,000. This was all options minus the sunroof and Nav. Finding a different dealer would be in your best interest.

They are about $500 over true net right now. You do only get one of the certificate programs. So 33,000 is not achievable.

I agree; aside from all the other 'tough-guy' talk here.

Right at 9.9% off of Monroney, is not 'robbery', that is most likely right at invoice or even a little below, for this sized MSRP!!

And yes, while you can get the Ford customer cash and the FMC rebates; those lesser rebates, Mil, Stdnt, LEO, Certif', etc, cannot be combined.

They will let you walk, if you insist that they go deep into their hold-back; especially with the Labor Day weekend yet ahead!!

Just my humble, very experienced opinion; as I left the '20-Something' crowd, many years ago....

All I can tell you is that last year I bought a FX4 screw MSRP 43,420 and paid 33,500 after dealer discounts and rebates
