I guess you have to make sure you read the contract thoroughly before you buy.

If I bought a new truck every 10-12 months, I would probably stick to one dealer based on the business relationship.

it was taken in the shop for a vibration/pull from front right side.
different dealer from where purchased.
dealer noticed it on the test drive and pulled it in the bay to check it out, this is when it all went down.
I only ask because you said the dealer said this

And having worked at many a dealer that would bend over backward to make this go away, i find it odd that they would say this^ unless they mean it. Not siding with them, its just the 1st time I've heard of a dealer say, "lawyer up" so quickly, without both customer and dealer looking at it together in person.

Very interested to hear how this turns out

Did he finance through ford credit? If he did call them and tell them what happened and that you want them to come and pickup the truck. I did that when my 05 f150 having only 5000 miles on it. The a problem ,they put under rated tires on it and I had two blowouts and could not find a tire any where. They where on national back order for a month. Ford credit got the dealer to put on all four new tires and the spare in a new size that I could easily get anywhere. All this at no cost to me. It did take calling 3 dealers and towing it to 2 of them. If it wore not for ford credit I would be out $1300 for new tires.

I used to work at a Lexus dealership and this stuff happens more than anyone knows. Cars are damaged all the time coming off the ships but a lot of times these vehicles change hands between dealerships so many times before they are sold things are lost in the mix Or the dealer that recked the truck is shady and fixed it in house and never reported it. BUT no mater what if the dealer that sold it to you wrecked it or not they are liable. unless they disclosed the damage and you signed off on it in which case you would of paid tremendously under sticker price

Yes, i'm a new member, however, if you look back through the thread, i am well known on other forums.

He is plenty capable of getting online and asking questions, he just chooses not to, just like why he does't have a facebook/twitter/instagram and all of the above.

The truck is not financed through Ford.

The owner of this dealer has been in contact with him today, and it seems like they're getting somewhere.

Will keep updated.
