Buy a used raptor or new fx4?

Buy a used raptor or new fx4?
So my local dealer has offered me a good trade in value on my 09 fx4.
I have a choice between a 2011 loaded raptor screw with 15000 Kms or a new loaded ecoboost fx4. Both trucks would be daily drivers with 95% pavement usage.
The raptor used would be about 8000 more, slightly higher interest rate, not as good on fuel, has higher mileage and less warranty. But has oodles of cool factor.
Our parking lot at work is pretty tight and with my 09 I'd get as close to the curb as possible to lessen the likelihood of door dings, I'm wondering if the raptors increased track width would be a factor.
Any thoughts or advice, anyone have any instances were the raptor just isn't quite practical for a daily driver?
Thanks!

I wouldn't pay "$8000 more" even on a new Raptor vs. a new FX4, let alone someone's used Raptor; which they most likely traded in because they didn't want to feed that beast of a 6.2L motor anymore, once the novelty had worn off on driving to and from work in the Raptor.
I am sure they will sucker someone into paying the $8000 more for the used truck; just make sure it is not you--it is someone else.

It all depends on how deep your pockets are. Yes raptors are bad *** but is that extra cool factor really worth the extra $8000, higher interest rate, not as good fuel mileage, and less warranty?? If you can afford it and pay for the extra gas i'd say buy the raptor but if just want a truck that you can drive everyday and not worry about using too much gas or parking space then the fx4 is your truck. Either way your gonna have an awesome truck.

Canuck with a truck
I hate to say it but get the fx4, if the raptor was tops $1-2K more id get the raptor but not for $8k more for a used one. and the ecoboost fx4 sounds more up your street for you use.

I parked beside a raptor the other day and ended up talkin to the guy. He said he didn't like it for dd and was lookin for another truck. He said it was cool to have. But not for a dd... He basically said once he got used to it it got old buyin gas for that hoss.

Yes, and once summer rolls around, watch that gas price jump up a lot more! Then you will see an increasing number of Raptors on the used truck lot at the dealers. $3 gas is now just a memory now, here in CA.
And when you go to trade in that Raptor, the dealers will say....can't give you top dollar, these things are not selling now, we just can't move them....because of the price of gas; as they offer you $$$ below wholesale BB.
Then when they go to sell it to the next guy, they will say.....hey, these things are limited production, they're in demand, it's a collector's truck, this [used] truck is for sale at a great price.....only $8,000 more than a nicely equipped, brand new FX4!!!

if I were you I would just keep the fx4 you have now, trading up and paying more money isnt real that great of an idea if you are just going to dd it. instead put the money aside and save up for a toy on the weekends like a quad or something

Why do you want to trade a 3 year old truck?
Unless you have tons of money just sitting around, and you have no other use for it (doesn't sound like it because you mentioned interest rates), I would recommend to keep your '09.
