Well I like the numbers the 6.2 makes and I've driven the Eco and I love the truck but some of the problems I read about on here scare me away and whats worse is the way ford handles those problems. So looks like it will be 5.0 or 6.2 and I really want that 6.2! Lol

SpeedDemon, don't believe the hype. I had a 2006 XLT with the 6,2 Triton engine. It was a very good engine, but the 2012 Ecoboost is simply a GREAT engine. Great mpg's on trips and allows me to pass like I'm driving a sports car. Go Ecoboost and you will not regret it.

Does a 2006 6.2 even compare?

Get the 6.2 and then put a Magnaflow or some other exhaust on it. I'm sure it will sound amazing

That would be one of the first mods. Only if I can get it in an xlt or similar priced truck. I don't need a 60k + hd or platinum

As far as I can tell the only widespread problems are with the transmissions, not the engines.
