Default Busted Grille

A couple weeks ago I was on the way home and hit a pretty big bird, maybe hawk or buzzard. It flew up right off the side of the road into my truck so I had no time to slow down. Was wondering if anyone else has had problems with hitting birds and how did your truck fare? Mine not too well although I was traveling 70+ mph

Gnarly dude. Had a seagull go through a GMC grill at work. Much lower speed. Since they are protected birds I won't post the picture.

I had a small bird deflect off my last trucks windshield at freeway speeds but in my rear view I seen him recover. God knows if he actually survived later.

I'll tell ya though it's a very shocking experience when a bird hits the windshield while traveling along a freeway!

This actually happened again going down the same road. I'm a lot more careful now $400 later and a new grille. Still don't know why there's so many on that particular road

At high speeds how careful can you be though. I've always been scared when a small creature be it bird or squirrel, but your best option is to plow through or risk swerve/braking and hitting other motorists. IDK LoL

I can be more careful than I was the first time the road is a speed limit 45 I was just going fast lol. The second time I was going speed limit so it didn't break anything
