Default Bushwacker pocket style flares question...

Has anyone that have the Bushwacker pocket style flares installed ever had any problems with trapped water between the flares and the edge of the fender that has led to rusting? Or any kind of grit for that matter. Are they a solid product or a cheap one? Some of the wheels I have been looking at have some negative offset which set the tires out of the fender a couple inches or so and I like the look of these flares to cover some of that up but I don' t want to waste $500.

I have them awesome product. It is sealed pretty well. Haven't looked under it though. it uses clips to put on and a screw or two in existing spots. Ill try to find a picture to show you. My wheels have -11mm offset and with the fenders it is now flush.

What size tires do you have and what size leveling kit. That looks exactly what my dad wants on his. Also did you get the skinner pocket flares, or the larger ones? There are two thicknesses.

And I have had bushwackers on my 04 for 2 1/2 years now. When washing the otherday one kinda pushed down and the paint is gone where the rubber washer is. So i guess once you put them on, they stay on. I guess that what happens when your truck gets covered in mud, lol. My guess is they vibrate just a little when going down the road.

Um i believe its the 1.75 they only had one size for the 09s (when i bought them). And its a 2 inch leveling kit with 17x9 wheels with -11m offset and 0 backspacing and 295/70/17 tires.

They changed the style of the pocket-style that you have, Busbyjay, and have added a bigger 2" coverage size.

1 1/2" coverage flare:

Now i know why. I bought the EGR rugged style which is 1.75 inch coverage and only $4 more than the 1.5 inch bushwacker pocket style. I think the 1.75 came out well. It made it flush.

I took mine off just to see what it was like underneath... They are going to have to stay on. There are deep marks in the clear coat where the rubber meets the fender.... Not happy at all. I wish i knew this before installing them. It is not that i don't like them but it i sell the truck they may not be for everyone. The rubber seems soft but after the vibration and grime getting in between the rubber on the edge of the flare and the fender....
