Default Burnout denied!

So long story short, I tried to do a brake-stand in my truck the other day with the tranny in M (manual) mode. I figured I could hold first gear and hit second when I wanted to. Problem is, the computer will only let the wheels spin a little bit at low RPMs. Then the brake pedal actually pushes back against your foot taking the brake off and pulling away! And yes, the traction control and the advance trac was turned off. It was the freakiest feeling 'cause you are standing on the brake as it pushes back at you and pulls forward.

So I put the shifter into Drive and proceeded to annihilate the crappy Goodyears. Just thought I'd share since I never saw anyone else here post about this. Really weird...

I didn't have a problem in Drive, just in Manual.

The drive watched the RPM's and takes care of shifting in case you forgot to shift/don't know how to shift in manual. I love putting it in drive and smoking the tires.... even though all I can see is the smile of the Ford dealer when I get new tires.

Yes as stated above, the computer will shift in manual mode if you don't shift yourself to prevent damage. I can't explain the brake that's weird. Now I want to try it lol.

Mine dont shift in m mode, it will just bounce of the limiter. You sure about that. I mean i could be wrong. I tried it, shhhh don't tell anyone It will bounce off the limiter till i shift it. Honestly i cringed while doing, dont like beating on her for the sake of this thread

Ill see if I can. My 3.7 is freakin loud as it hits 7000 rpm and I live in the city. The CAI made it even louder. I've never hit the limiter in manual mode, I'm just going by my moms 2010 fusion. That shifts when you hit the limiter. I assumed F150 was the same.
