being that I have it already, I’m trying to install it but am coming up with an error code 111. Anyone ever run into this issue? Bully dog support says they may need to update the unit. Going to call tomorrow but just curious if anyone heard about this.

Good luck. There is a reason most people get a SCT w/ custom tunes...

bought it from amazon. If the problem cannot be resolved, it’s going back and I’m going SCT route. Paid $430 for this crap...

 

Just an update for anyone reading. Contacted bully dog today. Rep walked me through some steps but end results is they don’t have a file for my truck. Took all the info and passing it up to “engineering”. They are going to call me in a day or so I assume to add the file and release it.

Last week I had no trouble installing a BDX tuner with custom tunes from 5* on my 2012 FX4 5.0. Does it have to do with your strategy code?

 

Mine is the gt has model. Said something about not having the proper codes. 🤷*♂️

 

They don't have a file for an FX4? Guess Ford hasn't made enough F150s.

Is that powder-coat paint on the wheels? Looks like someone wanted the appearance package and did some of it manually.

 

Rustoleum bed liner paint that I did. The stock wheels had some rash on them. Temporary fix until I get rims.

dont think it’s specific model codes but more of individual ECU codes. I dunno, just what I was told

 

I thought bully dog and sct are the same company now and you can load custom sct tunes on bully dog devices, even the gas gt.

 

that's what i thought too - same company. when you call the support number it asks you which brand if i recall correctly.
