I had a Line-X in my '04 and experienced no fade or quality issues. I have not seen a Bullet and am sure it is a fine product. I am also sure that in the 20 years Line-X has been spraying liners they have updated their formulas most likely by Mr. Burtin himself prior to cashing out.

My truck is getting the Line-X sprayed as I type this.
Yeah, I would think they have updated their products as well. My Father-in-law has had one since 04 as well and it looks great still after years and years of abuse!

+1. I've seen line-x wear out first hand on my parents 99' ram. They took it up to the shop and they reshot it no questions asked. Lifetime warranty is A+.

Default a little bit more info on the Bullet liner...

Hello all, this is Jessica and I am the Supervisor at Capital District Protective Coatings in Albany NY. I have been with this company for 9 out of its almost 10 years of business and with the rest of this company have watched Claudio's products progress and improve and when his latest line, Bullet Liner, became available we decided to stay on board with the originator as opposed to the big brand name.
The Bullet liner does carry a nationwide lifetime warranty and is also a green certified product with, as Shane pointed out, prolonged UV stability and yes, we do offer the color matching and premium upgrades that some of you may be interested in.
I would also like to take this opportunity to let all of you know that if you had a liner done with us in previous years (and we are indeed the folks that used to be in Schenectady), we do cover all of our work.
If you have any questions and haven't already e-mailed Shane, you can also feel free to shoot me a line at cdprotectivecoatings@gmail.com

Had bullet liner sprayed a few days ago on my 2011 F-150 Lariat. Very happy with the install and the finished product looks great. I had line-x on my previous truck and like the look of bullet liner better. Granted, the line-x was sprayed in 2005. Will post more as the product wears and sees some abuse. Recommend the guys in Marietta, GA.

Default Bullet VS LINE-X

LINE-X is expensive and some dealers are making the switch to make more money by paying less and spraying thinner. A liner can look great and be super thin and Just like with anything.....you get what you pay for. LINE-X makes their franchises spray a certain thickness to maintain warranties (125MIL +) and Bullet has no programs in place to police quality. They will say it has a lifetime warranty but so does everyone one else that claims to be "just like LINE-X". The bottom line is there are dozens of bedliner brands across the country but only one has a true lifetime warranty redeemable all across the nation. Do I work for LINE-X? No I don't but I am in the industry and see guys getting 26 bedliners out of a set of barrels and guys that spray LINE-X get 18. My advise is pay a few bucks on quality for your 30,000 plus new truck.

I absolutely agree that you get what you pay for. My money is on Bullet Liner. I am curious how you think that Line-X is the only brand that offers a "true" lifetime warranty. There is a reason why Bullet Liner has opened 60+ stores in a little over a year. It is a superior product, that installers want to use. You want to offer the best to your faithful customers don't you?

I do not and have not "bashed" any of my competing brands. We don't need to. The product speaks for itself. The bottom line is, that eventually a new product comes down the line, that unseats the previous "king". Sometimes that's hard for people to adjust too.

I know one things for sure. The shoes I'm wearing right now, are a heck of a lot nicer than the pair I was wearing 25 years ago...

I had the Bullet liner installed on my truck. It's a 2012 Ecoboost Lariat Super Crew with the 5.5 bed. They did a fantastic job. So far, and only time will tell, it's been great. It still looks new after 6 months. I am sure Line-X is great also, but I would buy the Bullet again. My guess is that the actual dealer is probably more important than which brand you choose.

Looks like Bullet may be a little better than regular Line-X, but about the same as Line-X Premium.
