Bullet liner vs Linex liner
#11
I would rather have a great installation job with a average liner product than a average installation job with a great liner product...
(ok, just another way of saying that installation is everything with these liners. Plenty of crappy linex jobs, usually from a sub par installation.)

I had Linex and I now have Bullet. Trust me that Bullet is far superior. As some here have said, its all in the instalation. The folks who used to do linex in the Capital Region, are now spraying Bullet and it is incredible. Capital District Protective Coatings is the company and I have found them to be professional, experts in their craft and really nice people. So don't hesitate to go with the bullet, at least when it is applied by these guys.

LOL at their website and video.
I hate to thread jack but since this is started I may as well ask. Anyone have experience with armaguard? I can get it done for about $100 cheaper than line x.

?????
No information? How about the 10 pages of technical data sheets and the 2 retail brochures? I agree that the video is stupid but the data is there to show that this product is supperior to Linex. in addition, LineX is a big corportaion run by corporate fat cats. Check out Capitaldistrictprotectivecoatings.com to see how the Bullet liner looks. To me, It's way better then LineX.

That is true that a co-designer of linex started Bullet and from what I am told he is here in Georgia. My 4Wheel Parts store knows him personally and from what they told me, he has taken Linex's flaws and improved upon them. One of the problems I have had with Linex on two different trucks is that after awhile it blackwashes. You can wipe the chalky residue off with your hand. That is why I went with a Bedrug this time but my buddy got the Bullet and it is a much better product. It stays shiny (I think it has UV protectors in it) and it doesn't chalk up. With Bullet, you don't need those revitalizing sprays they sell for Linex and Rhino to keep them new looking.

Hi Guys
My name is Shane and I am the General Manager of Bullet Liner in Marietta, Ga. Just a little history on our product.
Bullet Liner is a product invented and produced by Claudio Burtin. He is the principal founder of Line-X. After he sold LineX corporation, and properly waited out a non-compete clause, he was then able to develop and launch Bullet Liner. There are some major differences between the two, mostly being the UV stability and gloss retention properties of Bullet Liner over LineX. Think of it this way. He made LineX over 2 decades ago, and now Bullet is a newer, more advanced product. Think how much technology has changed in the past 20 years! Bullet Liner is an all around better product for the applicator and the customer, trust me, I've been an applicator for more than 14 years. If you guys have any questions about the product, feel free to comment here, or shoot me an email at shane@bulletliner.com and I will accomodate you any way that I can.

Not trying to take anything away from Shane's comments here but...
I had a Line-X in my '04 and experienced no fade or quality issues. I have not seen a Bullet and am sure it is a fine product. I am also sure that in the 20 years Line-X has been spraying liners they have updated their formulas most likely by Mr. Burtin himself prior to cashing out.
My truck is getting the Line-X sprayed as I type this.
