Question To Bull Bar or not?

Just curious if anyone out there is running with a Bull Bar or not? If so, how do you like it(pics)? I am thinking about getting one for my 2012 Lariat and putting three or four 4" lights in it.

I think they look overkill and out of place on 150's.

I keep asking myself the same (also have a 2012 lariat race red) but I cant see it really looking any good without some serious ***** (big lift big tires big attitude). If you dont have all that then it looks super out of place imo

I have wanted to get an inexpensive bull bar since I purchased my truck. However from what I have seen, they are more cosmetic until you start spending $600+ for actual protection.

I am told you also must remove your front tow hooks to install them, so unless your bar comes with hooks, you lose those beastly tie points from the front.

If you just want a spot for lights then look up the Nfab light bar. Same bar as the Smittybuilt. Less noticeable and functions nicely.

My vote is no for the bull bar.

Just my opinion, you can do whatever you like to your ride since your spending the cash to do whatever upgrade you like. Saying that I'm not a fan of the bull bar look...most folks install them just for looks, doesn't add much to the truck if any as far as looks go. If you want one for function that's totally acceptable in my book. Just stating my preference. Not trying to **** of the guys that like them just for looks.

I too was looking into a bull bar but with the front camera and sensor for adaptive cruise the bull bar interferes with them, according to the tech's.

So I manufacturered my own bar on the front bumper because I still wanted my led light bar and cubes. Will add one more on each side. Not my best placement but decided not to install them on the hood or roof.
