No, god wasn’t with you that day, the Ford engineers who designed the truck were. It is absolutely disgusting giving credit to some fairy tale vs. actual real folks who devote a ton of effort to make sure you are safe. Glad you’re still here. Very sorry to hear about the others who didn’t make it.
Don't be a douche.

Yeah, all of the various engineering teams have important jobs making trucks that we WANT, but at the end of the day the safety engineering team has the most important job of all.

Might as well all take a minute to thank god for keeping us alive during sickness and injuries, and not the doctors and surgeons who spent 12+ years of their lives working their asses off learning to be able to do what they do.
Glad you made it out alive, OP. Sucks to hear about the other people, though.

Glad you we're okay - I was in a similar (a little less severe) accident in my 2006. After it was totaled, I went and bought my 2013.
I feel like so may people overlook crash tests when buying a new vehicle, but the difference between 2 brands can be huge (compare an F-150 to a RAM for example)

It is unfortunate that the crash occurred at all, and i feel bad that i enjoy seeing these stories that provide real world proof i made the right decision in vehicles to protect my family while we travel. Glad you are ok OP!

Think about this: Maybe there was a lady with 2 young kids in a Toyota Camry driving behind my truck. Let's say I was not there and the driver of the 6000 plus lbs truck hit that Toyota at the same speeds. I can only assume the worse and that the Toyota would be on the losing end. Maybe God put me and my Ford truck there to save that lady and her children which may become doctors because they work real hard and are there to save all of mankind or your loved ones in the future.
I am not saying god did or did not have anything to do with outcome of this accident. What I can say is I am a lucky person. If somebody wants to say god protected me than let them. If my kid wakes up tomorrow and thanks God and not the engineers who designed this truck the I will let him.

We do not know why the driver of that truck was 100% in my lane but we do know he was. We can all think of many reasons from mechanical to distracted driving.

I was sort of just trying to back the guy up because I agreed with him and everyone was using ad-hominum against him instead of actual arguments, with name calling that didn't further the conversation. I do not care what other people believe in, nor do I care what other people think about what I believe in. I think you got extremely lucky, paired with the fact that you had a safe truck. I think we can both agree though that it's pretty amazing that you survived a wreck like that!
