Hey all,

I've had a very annoying squeak in the bed area of my truck for as long as I've owned it. (2011 FX4 purchased new) I finally remembered to tell the dealership about it when I brought it in for the oil change/ tire rotation.

I received a call and the adviser stated they had fixed the squeak, which had been located somewhere in the tailgate area, but that they had also found my passenger side-rear shock to be leaking.

Has anyone ever had this type of things happen to them? Do you think it could have been affecting the ride? They're replacing the shock on Tuesday, so it's no big deal, I was just wondering.

I also had a leaking front shock...only about 23K miles on the truck. The dealership said it was the first time they had seen a shock leaking on the 09+ trucks.
