Broke License Plate Light Housing
Burnt out bulb on my 2011 F150.....I youtubed it and followed somewhat instruction to try and pop out the housing from the outside with a flathead screwdriver, in the notch by the bulb housing, rather than going up underneath the rear bumper. Did so, and the slightest pressure on the screwdriver broke the housing right off....it didn't pop out as show on other F150's. How can I place back together? Some say crazy glue or super glue as apparently the replacement part is over $100?? Yikes!! If almost appears as though it may have been glued previously by the last owner. What a rotten setup. How else is a fella supposed to get that damn bulb out...seems like it's a full piece that doesn't come apart, except for how I broke it. Any help would be appreciated. Now my bulb is just hanging out of the hole by the plate.

Yes. Two ways. The other way is to pop it out on the bumper. There's a notch for a screwdriver to gently push in and pry out....but.....if not done very gently....like in my case, the tab wasn't pushed in far enough and it snapped the outer housing right off the light portion. Sucks but crazy glued and snapped back in. I will keep the new part as a spare....for next time....lol
