Default Break in Period on 2014 FX4 5.0

Hello, Just bought a new 2014 Fx4 5.0 Super Crew and was wondering what is the proper break in procedure for a new truck. It has about 110 km on it and i have been trying to baby it. Not sure if that's the right thing to do.

Have read lots of opinions from driving like you stole it to going easy. lol

Dealer told me the only thing is to not use cruise control until after 500km.

Opinions? Not sure what I should be doing lol

Thanks

All I've read just says to not stay at the same speed for a long time but vary speeds. And don't tow until over wha', 1,000 miles is it? I'd err on safe side.

Variation in speeds and don't tow anything or haul anything in bed over a few 100 lbs till you get 1k miles.

Ok, so when they say variations in speed does that just mean city driving and not going on long distance trips on highway?

Drive it like you plan to all the time, don't tow 1st 500 miles. You baby it and you may wind up with a smoker.

Not questioning your opinion just curious. Why would going easy on your truck cause it to smoke?

I towed my Rv 8200lbs within the first 600 miles of both my 11 and 13 Eco and never looked back these motors are ready from the factory to perform

Not my opinion, it's engine building fact.

Piston rings need to seat, google search "cylinder glazing"
