OMG.. got this hub bolted on and the electrical is WRONG.. it wont plug in.. can I remove the one off the old?

BdlilF150, I applaud you for tackling the jobs on your truck as that is what I did for years on my vehicles. But as the cars got more complicated and the items being worked on became more deadlier if done wrong, (ie: steering, brakes, suspension parts) I bit the bullet and took my car to a shop. You may be able to switch out the plug and it work with no problem but why risk your safety and every passengers safety on a lack of knowledge. just my 2 cents

I called a Mechanic buddy who is a Ford Guru he said move it.. He said you can buy these on their own and its the same thing. He said if its bad it will throw a light right away. I moved it.. all good. Truck drives like a DREAM now. no more low speed growl from wheel bearing.. braking is buttery smooth. Could not be happier.. I have always worked on my on rides.. ive had a few fast cars as I drag raced for years and built motors as well. It's the electronics on these newer rides that worry me.. I was daily driving a 9 second fox in the late 90's to college.

I did mine at 105k, same here. My buddy who helped me was shocked that they were the OEM on the front. Only reason I changed them were the rear breaks were getting low, and the E-break was getting iffy.

Blows my mind.. I have Brembo on my Mustang and those barely lasted 35k miles lol.

In my defense, my commute doesn't have a lot of stopping, and I drive like a grandma most of the time.

RoJo f150, I agree with you in regards to working on our vehicle's today. It would burn my @55 though, if I paid someone else to install my front brakes in my truck. With other repairs, absolutely it should be handled
I honestly feel better knowing my front brakes are installed properly.
Especially now, after owning a 2005, a 2010 and my current 2014. It literally takes me longer to jack it up and remove the tires then it does to do the front pads and or rotors.

I also agree with badlilf150 in that I was impressed that I got 36,000 miles out of my front pads. The rotors only got to 15,000 before they were like potato chip's.
I swear they squeaked the same day the odometer hit 36,000 miles!
