Does the one on Ebay work for the 2013 model year as well?

I'm not really sure how he's claiming all of those years. Did he ask for your build date or anything?

There is also this part number which I believe was only for 2011.

I also recommend the factory one as it integrates trailer sway control and gain control into the dash info center. I have only used mine two or three times but it has been worth it.

Also if it wasn't said before it will require a re-flash at your dealer to enable the controller, is NOT just plug and play

I called my dealer today, and he said he's never heard of anyone having to flash them! He said he put on in his 2013 Exploder and it works just fine.
He wants to charge $90 too, damn

He is wrong, the computer will need to be flashed.

Another vote for OEM. I had aftermarket on my 06 and thought I worked good. I really like the OEM on my 2013. I like the sway control. I hit a few windy roads and had it kick in. Works great

Yup. Tell him if it does is it going to be free? I'm not sure why you would tell someone they don't need to flash it but than it'll be $90 for him to do it?

This service manager is one of my wife's old students- as well as the writers. It really seems sometimes that I am more educated on Ford's issues and TSB's. I asked yesterday about the ECM reflash for my TSB 13-3-3 and he was almost positive they just throw a new intercooler on it and call it good. The tech assured him it is reflashed as well. The whole service department combined (4 guys- at the desk) have a combined age of 100.....

i just added it to my 2013 a couple weeks ago. you will have to have it activated with the Ford scan tool. my dealer didn't charge me anything for this. it took about 5 minutes.
