Actually, They said normally there would be a charge, but since the selling dealer didn't seem to know anything about it and apparently had no interest in finding out...he did it for no charge....I am sure it was a carrot for down the road maybe getting to service the truck...

Default Part# for Ford F150 Integrated Brake Controller

Can anyone provide me with the Ford part number for their 2009 F150 integrated trailer brake controller?

I just traded in my '05 for a 2009 F150 XLT with the max tow package.
Odd, but the truck did not come with the factory installed Integrated brake controller.

The dealer has agreed to install the controller - But cannot locate a part number for it and claim it is not available yet.

Thank you for your assistance!

Doesnt seem too odd at all at least in my area. When I was looking for my 09, I found a lot in Florida with the max tow package but no brake controller. The controller was on my needs list.

I just bought an 09 XLT 4X4, it doesn't have the max tow package. Can the factory trailer brake control still be installed?

As long as you have the regular factory tow package with the 7-pin connector already at the rear bumper, then yes, the Ford TBC can be installed.

Thanks for the info, it has the standard tow package. I will go ahead and order a Ford TBC for it. Found it on the internet for $224.00.

You'll need a dealer to program the computer for the TBC add-on.
