Default Bought My Son A Raptor!

On another site i am on a member bought his son a Blue Step2 Raptor to match his real life Blue SVT Raptor. He was showing us the pictures of it and a couple mods he did to it to make it match his real life Raptor. This gave me a ton of ideas and i just had to buy my son one. I really wanted to buy him at PowerWheels Raptor or a PowerWheels 2015 F-150 but being as he is only 8.5months old i knew he wouldnt be able to control it so i got him this instead.

So i bought my son one, would have loved to get a silver one to match my truck but they only offer them in Red and Blue. So i got him a Red one. Once i got it unboxed to start putting it together i had to stop because a ton of mod ideas came to mine.

So here are the pics

The chrome wheels just didnt go with the flow. So i painted them DSG and added a sticker behind the "rims" to make it look like it had brake calipers.

Stock this thing came with white LEDs in the grill which was great but the real Raptor has amber lights. So i had my dad help me paint the LEDs with a amber paint to make it more like the real Raptor.

I also added 6.2L emblems on the door to match the real Raptor. And finally the best mod is i added Projector LED headlights and a set of Amber and White "Rigid LED Duallys" for Fogs. Put the swtich for the lights in the same spot on the dash were the push to start sticker was. My dad also had a license plate made.

Lights Off!

Lights On!

Whatcha Think?

Tonight at work, i will be getting some stainless tubing and making a Roush Exhaust for it also.

Awesome! Where did you find it? I have a 2 month old son and can't wait to get him some type of truck. It will be years before he can control a power wheels, but this is more like it

You can go the route I did for my 1 yr old. Big toys green country has remote controlled vehicles for those that cannot drive themselves. It has straps for seat belts, led lights, and MP3 hookups. Comes in multiple different car manufactures, but I didn't see any fords at the time I bought mine. Worth every penny!

Now that's cool. I was actually thinking about this the other day. I used to be in to high end RC cars/ planes back in the day, and got to thinking maybe I could modify a power wheels to be remote control. Just need transmitter, receiver, and some powerful servos for control. Instead of a speed controller, just design a servo to press the pedal.
