You guys are giving some great feedback.
It sounds like you guys like the Bilsteins on the rear. Any reasons for those over the Boss shocks?
Should I possibly set the coil overs, say a 1/4" high, when installing, just in case of settling?
I noticed when I put my 315/70/17 KO2s on, that it slightly increased the mushieness in the corners, that was expected due to the taller sidewall, even though they are LRE. It would be nice to lessen that, even though it's not unbearable.
How about on washboard? Do they feel like you've got better control?

On edit; Yes, those are Eibach coils per F150 Lifts webpage.

I don't believe the boss coils will have any significant settlement. They are pure quality from my experience and are on the same level as some of the highest end units.

On my 2013 2WD I had a 2.5" spacer kit in the front, 1.25" blocks and OEM 4x4 shocks in the rear of my truck and removed it all to replace with Boss coilovers, 2" blocks and Boss rear shocks.

I can honestly say I wasted time and money with the spacer kit and should have went straight to the Bosses. The ride is hard to explain for someone that doesn't have them. The ride is a little stiffer than stock but in a good way. You feel more of the small bumps like expansion joints but when bigger bumpers are hit its a lot smoother, the truck just absorbs bumps flawlessly and no long feels like it wants to jump in the other lane.

I have 2 close friends that also have 2013 4X4 F150s, both with 2" spacer kits and stock rear shocks and both LOVE the way my truck rides and handles. They say it's like a cloud!

The boss shocks are great in quality and are adjustable which the user can do themselves vs having to disassemble the Bilsteins to go lower.

The springs used are Eibachs which are wound and sprung at a higher lbs than stock. 850 vs 750 if I recall.

Alex is great and the customer service you'd get would be top notch vs most other places.

I have the Bilsteins all around on mine. I have them at the 2.25 setting and have for over 3 years now with zero issues including angles or IWE or engagement of 4wd.

I do have the top out issue if I'm trying to go too fast over a speed bump but I slow down for them as intended so no real issue for me.

The rears I know make the biggest improvement as it eliminates the crazy bed shake and chattering/wandering when going over expansion joints or rough roads. They are valved way better than the stock mushy stuff.

As much as I'd love the Boss coil overs I'd save the hundreds and get a set of Bilsteins then drop the money into other mods.

700lb Eibach springs on the BOSS.
650lb Eibach springs on Fox.
Stock is just below or around a 500lb spring from what I've read.

I have a set of fox 2.0s for sale if you're interested. My dads happy with the 5100's I put on his truck or they'd be going on his. Hands down a coilover replacement is one of the better mods I've done. You have a slightly stiffer feeling ride, but in a good way. You may feel a few more bumps/road defects that you normally wouldn't with the factory assembly, but handling, body roll, and overall performance are the trade off. Square edged bumps and sudden hits are greatly improved with an aftermarket coilover. The 2.5's I'm running now are down right amazing.

I put them on my 2013 2WD a month or two ago now. I have only 2,000 miles or so on them so far, but have not regretted it once.

I did the BOSS Coilovers, rear BOSS shocks, and the factory 2015-2016 4WD rear blocks. I also put on LT305/55/20 Toyo AT2 tires. The extra inch from the tires plus the Boss coils and blocks in rear netted me almost 4.5" of lift in total. Again this was on a 2WD truck.

I have yet to find anything I don't like about them and I am VERY particular about parts on any of my vehicles. This is the first set of coils I have had on a truck but I have run 10+ sets of coilovers on my Supra's over the years and every time I found something with those I didn't like. Usually something small, but almost always found something I wasn't pleased with.

Like many others have said, hard to describe the ride without actually just getting in one that has them and going for a ride. Definitely more firm but not jarring or uncomfortably so. Will take bumps and imperfections in the road better and isn't as bouncy and slow to recover from those bumps as the stock setup is. I took mine off at 50k miles almost exactly so they may have been near their expected lifespan, but it is a much more confident ride now. Confident of what it will do and how it will behave in any given situation.

Thanks guys, looks like I'll be ordering tomorrow if I get home at a reasonable time. Like the idea of the boss having a heavier spring over the Fox. The Fox is undoubtedly a quality item, but the Boss won out. I like the idea of the coating on the shocks that is available, since I live in the saltbelt, that will ordered as well.
I haven't found anything about how you set up the height you want. Do you measure the adjusting collar to the bottom of the shock or something? Likely in the instructions, but wondering if anyone would give me a headsup on that.

Have you also thought about changing your Upper control arm?

Our Chase Kit which includes our Boxed upper arm with our trophy truck graded uniball and King 2.5 Coilovers will give you up to 9" of wheel travel and will give you better articulation through your suspension cycle.

This has been a very popular set up with all my customers with F150's, Raptors etc...
