If you leave the resonator on and just instal the Borla xr-1 there will be no drone. I had that setup for about a year. I then decided I wanted louder so I removed the resonator - big mistake, sounded awesome on the outside but drones really bad, so I got a small vibrant resonator installed. This tamed the drone down a bit, but there is still some.
So if you leave the resonator in there will be no drone
