Damn strait. That's my next move. My concern is it I don't and get water in the cats, I will end up having to pay for repairs out of warranty. I drive 35k miles a year and will be out of warranty soon.

Doesnt take many bad lithium batteries to ground the Boeing aircraft. But I guess its gonna take a tragic accident to get action. Class actions only bring more attention to the situation in a way the ave joe cannot to a large corp. Its always better to act than react but unfortunately this time the auto maker is gonna have to respond somehow, only time will tell.

Supposedly the 3.7 XL base model I own has 16 different computer systems on it according to my salesman. I'm sure there is more to it than just the CAC. I'll read up on turbos here in a bit and learn as much about it as I can, then I'll be better informed.

I don't trust salesman that's why I said supposedly. They do whatever it takes to get the sale.

Default Lawyers

This suing business makes me sick. So much suffering (and "false hope") inflicted by litigation lawyers. THEY get rich, THEIR billable hours go on and on and on. THEY are the only winners, financially.
Yes, there are some "lemons" out there, in ALL industries.
I for one am thankful for the lovely truck I have.
Thank You.

Well lets settle down. Not like every F150 is having CAC problems. Considering how many F150s are sold annually and cars/truck are becoming more and more complicated. Even then, until I hear otherwise I would assume the CAC issue is rare at best.

In 2012 45% of F150's sold were Eco and for 2013 it will be more Ecoboost than not. If most dealers see 3-5 of these trucks with problems and know most of what we are dealing with. The dealer that is working on my truck has a few techs and service advisers that have Eco F150's as personal vehicles and two of them have had the issue. There are roughly 3800 ford dealers in the United States. If each of these dealers only saw 3 trucks with a problem that would be 11,400 trucks. They sold 100,000 Ecoboost F150 trucks in 2012. That would put the overall percentage of affected trucks at 11%. This is all hypothetical percentage as Ford isn't going to tell us any numbers on trucks effected.

To put that in a more humorous context. If tomorrow the worlds leading scientists informed the public that 11% of all human males ***** would fall off by 1 pm the same day, do you think that would be rare enough not to do something about it? I kid I kid

Sub, what is amazing is these F150's are put together with the same parts on each Eco. So if it is 11% then why not 100%. I know its weather/driving related so is it just that or is there maybe some kind of defective parts thats was installed on some not all. To me it makes no sense why some have the CAC issue and many/majority dont. Would be nice to know the truth.

99% of lawyers give the rest a bad name...

Class action suits are all about the lawyers, not their clients, don't kid yourself.

As for my Eco - 26k and it runs like a champ!
