IMHO, the Platinum grill wins hands down....but I'm a little biased too!

Looks great....the first grill choice...I don't care for the 6 bar type..Also I was considering doing my grill (paint to match) as it is chrome and I am thinking about dechroming my platinum white lariat. I have the adobe two tone and was going to change it to sterling gray like the other poster also. I think doing the surround ptm and then the sterling gray on the bars would look awesome. Thinks for sharing your great ideas.

go for it, looks great to me. sometimes people go overboard with black for an accent. my truck is solid white and want to paint lower beltline dark shadow gray. the 2 bodyshops tried to talk be out of it saying after painting the gray would have to clear coat both sides completely. i asked about after painting and clear coating the beltline, could they not just put pinstripe over the tape line. somebody might chime in with some alternatives. i am not a paint or body man.
They most likely want to clear the entire sides of your truck because, they want to minimize the hard tape edge. At least that's the only reason I can think of. They should be able to just paint the bottom, using the style line. The edge can be easily hidden there. I cant imagine why they would turn away a simple easy job like that. Ive added 2-tone like that before...not on the 09+ trucks, but the 04-08 ones.
