You keep mentioning failure on a boat ramp. We get it. Yours failed on a boat ramp 100 miles from home and now you have to annoy the rest of us with your bitterness and regret towards purchasing the 2013 lemon from hell.
The point being, a blown .50 cent fuse should not be able to leave you stranded 100 miles from home, brake lights or not!
Maybe someone will learn from this thread.
Maybe Ford will read this and realize how stupid that is.

Hi, one fuse should never leave anyone stranded; You can always borrow one from another circuit to get you back home.

Why not? Just because something is small, it can't have an effect? Vehicles generally come with spare fuses right in the fuse box, first of all. But also, a blown fuse is indicative of a larger problem.

It's not like vehicles were much better with less electronics. This "the old days were so much better" is just faulty memory on your part. Esp if you are one of the USA-made crazies. The 70s-90s had the worst US cars in history. GM shouldn't even exist anymore they were so bad.

Blown fuses happen for one reason or another, all makes and model, across all years. I spend time in the woods out in the middle of nowhere. I have a whole kit of extra fuses, different types and amps, as well as a tire repair kit so I don't get stranded out there.

My father in law will be selling his '97 4x4 4.6 flareside soon. But I think it's too fancy for Lee. It has power windows, power steering, 6 disk changer, and an automatic transmission.

I thought about buying a good used 95 and having it professionally restored and offer it up as an even swap for his 13 just to shut that hole under his nose. In the end simply adding him to my ignore list was the simplest, cheapest, swiftest solution.

Why is this “what grinds my gears” thread in the 09-14 department if it’s a 1995 truck.
Put this in the general discussion or the 90’s section!

he doesn’t have a 95’ truck anymore. He just likes to bitch he doesn’t. Go look up his other useless threads. He’s an old man set in his ways.
