Default Blown brake light bulbs can leave you stranded?

I did not know this was possible, yet another failure mode my 95 standard shift could not have.

Blown brake lights can leave you Stranded? Really?

Is this real or internet fantasy?

if your brake lamp switch ****s the bed, then yes you can't shift out of park

why don't you dump your truck for a POS 95

So I’m backing my boat into the water, get back in and can’t shift out of park, I’m stuck, is there a bypass procedure?
Column shift.

do you have your owners manual? if so read it. It tells you in there

every ford since the mid 90s with an auto trans has had this set up

Thanks, this is my first automatic transmission in 40 years, it seems with good reason.
This could never happen with a standard shift.

Both manual and auto transmissions have several problems in common though. Either will fail to work for you with the following:

-theft
-explosion
-murdered by ex (person, not the vehicle, the vehicle will still work for the ex)
-lost all keys
-imprisonment
-impounded
-severe water or lightning damage

I'm surprised we all get out of bed each morning.

Page 213 for any 2013 owners, and I will be getting out the dremel to make a much needed reliability modification.

I don’t see blown fuse or break light bulbs on your list, this is plain stupidity.
