I don't have any up-close pics of the AAL but this is with the F150lifts.com coilovers set to 3" with 33" tires. Had about 1/4" of rake.

I have blocks on my truck. They work great for what I do, not much off road and the occasional load/tow. What you have to be careful about is the angle of the blocks. Readylift blocks come with the correct angle, or you'll have to get shims. Make sure whoever installs them puts them in right. I had a shop install mine just to make sure everything is done right but as they say, if you want something done right do it yourself. If you don't compensate for the change in driveshaft angle, you'll get a vibration at low speeds.

Why wouldn't you just buy a full replacement leaf pack lift kit? Instead of trying to compare what is better out of something that is generally in the same area.

In our opinion and experience, Driveline hummmmmm can be experienced when blocks larger than 2.5" are installed. This doesn't always happen...but when you exceed 2.5" you are in the arena of the possibility of it happening. This is why manufacturerers taper the larger blocks to give the lift but try to eliminate the hummmmm by tapering the block.

We carry 2.0, 2.25, and 2.5" rear blocks. They are made from 6061 T-6 Billet aluminum. We chose these sizes specifically so we don't cause this hum trouble.

instead of starting a new thread ill see if someone can help me here with the AAL:

I plan on getting a 2" auto spring level. I wont be hauling daily but will occasionally want to pull my trailer with light weight or a boat (prob about 3k).

Will I need the AAL to make this happen or will I be able to get by w/o

Thanks

I bought the same thing you mentioned a year or 2 ago & found the best way was to jack up the front 2" & see how it looks - then jack the back up about 1.5 inches to simulate the AAL
I found it looked better with the rake from the AAL . Plus it give more payload. If you leave it level the back will sag a bit with boat . Now that my truck is past the 3 year mark - this project is ready to go-

Air bags are the way to go in my book. Increase payload and height at the same time without too much stiffness

Ok 2 questions:

First, I mean lets say I tow a boat, can it be done, would it be the worst thing ever for like 1-2 trips a year

Second, difference in airbags vs AAL as far as price, ease of installation, overall performance

Thanks guys
