Default Blend door is lost again!

Well Mamonti, I do still thank you for your input, but it looks like the actuator or controller is not maintaining the stops calibration for the blend door again. I guess I'm gonna end up at the dealer anyway. Thanks again!

Sorry to read this! I know they have problems with the blend doors also which requires the removal of the dash and complete heater box. Is it under warranty? IF not I could suggest a couple of things to try.

Yeah it is still under warranty ,and I have an appointment set for Wednesday. The blend valve on mine is accessable when the head unit is removed, so I hope it will not be an extended repair time.

Well it may be the HVAC module which is located under the top tray of the dash. I have a problem with the defrost, vent and floor door or actuator. Like you it is under warranty and I am hoping it is the actuator ot the HVAC module. If not they have to remove the dash completely and replace the actual door inside the heater box. When I spoke to the dealer they said it is probably the door, so that tells me they have more problems with the doors inside the heater box getting jammed then they do with the actuator and HVAC modules! Pretty much a all day job so make sure you have a ride or they give you a loaner.

Default Same problem here on my 2011 F-150

... except (in my case) the evaporator exploded and was replaced by the dealership. A day after I picked the truck up from the dealership, it started popping, so, I guess it'll have to go back in ... thinking the mechanic plugged the actuator back in before-hand causing the calibration to be off. Looks like it's an ongoing problem with our trucks. The #15 fuse re-calibration reset didn't work for me ... on both fuse boxes, the #15 fuse is for something entirely different. Hope not too many of us have this issue.

Hi ForcedInductionX2+ and jeb99ta,

Be sure to circle back and let us know how things go at your dealerships. I'll be on standby mode in case you need my assistance; if you need me to step in, just send me a PM with your info (name, daytime phone number, VIN, mileage, dealership name) and I'll get on top of this.

Hey Crystal, thanks for your response. I had the blend door actuator replaced at the dealership and it now works flawlessly. The only thing they required of me, was to remove my aftermarket Navigation H/U before they would replace the actuator. I assume they did not want to take responsibility for any damages.

Thanks again
Steven

Steven,

How much did it cost to get replaced, if you don't mind me asking? Mine is messed up also and I'm out of warranty.

Im not sure what the cost would be beacuse I am still under warranty. I did come across a post on one of the forums that said the part was about $30, but labor was about $200.
