on topic, I got one of the OEM exhaust tips and just tightened it on.

I tried plastidipping it at first, but even with 4 coats, it began to look like trash after a few weeks.

back to the full polish stainless, the bottom of the tip is black from oil gettin' burned. easier to clean off that than the 400 series stainless pipe, so I'm happy enough. got it for free.

I've tried every kind of paint I can think of, and they all get pitted and blasted off within a few weeks and then look like garbage.

Probably just better to buy one once you factor in paint cost and time spent. Amazon/eBay are only like 40$. Even high quality larger name brand ones are under 100$

Mine didn't. But if you read my thread you'd see I went a few steps further than just slapping paint on.

I drive lots of dirt and gravel too.

You left the off topic post where the other user posted one of his pictures and called him jabba the hut. Good moderating.

Talking

safetypin - look at the reflection and it will all make sense.

** from his website with pictures of his truck

< pic' >
safetypin - dude looks like jabba the hut. every poster on here is luke skywalker trying to take away his princess leia
Reflection from parabolic surface of a 6'2", bent-over/leaning-in, non-professional picture-taker. An optical delusion with the big-o-fier effect ...
But Thank You! for your insightful and topical posts.

Here's an example of a cheaper one, simple clamp/bolt on
