I say save up and just do all 4, and if dead set on just two then the rears. I put mine on and had to wait a week for the fronts. It was way more controlled but the front was horrible in comparison. All 4 and it's like a new truck!
OK.. thanks.. I only have 17000 miles on the factory shocks but they totally suck! I didn't like them from day 1… so I can certainly see why the after market make a big difference!! I'll just have to save and replace all 4 at the same time………

I would. Look around the vendor section here. I got mine for around $350 shipped for all 4.

I think the OEM shocks were crap to. Understand the 15 has HD gas shocks standard. I ordered mine in sets of 2. With all 4 corners done. Just make sure U order the right part numbers for UR truck. 4x wont work on 4X2. U want 5100's to lift the front up 2" to level it out.

Ben,

I talked to the guys at Bilstein about this issue and ordered mine last week (should arrive today) based on their feedback that stock height would not change with these shocks.

This does not mean that the ride is too firm now. Now the truck doesn't have that spongy, lack of control, vague feeling anymore. The handling is much more precise and has much less body roll.

I'm not saying that the Bilsteins made the truck into a track day car but it did greatly improve the ride and handling.

Well worth the cost!
How long did the front take and how involved was it? Do you have to compress the spring and drop the control arm? I haven't crawled underneath yet to look.

Heres mine on 5100s. Rode them pretty rough the last 30k miles. Actually surprised how great they are doing. I read you wanted to Add-A-Leaf to. Cant tell but my truck does sit higher in the rear. Its not level anymore by any means but thats what my fronts are set to.

Well worth it and I'm glad I did.
