The more I've thought about it and I have thought about an 8" maybe 10" could do the trick too.. Anyone know the best 8" brand kit and what size tire I could fit ? Also gearing and anything else that maybe helpful to change up with it?? Much appreciate any insight

i'd say 10 inch if your going to jump 2 inches you might as well stay with the 6 inch lift.

Thats true.. what brands make a 10". My biggest thing is i want to fit 38-40s and i want coil overs...

Also anyone know what sort of changes i may or may not need to make conceding axles, drive shafts, or gearing

12" and 40's on a 1/2 ton is too much, IMO. The truck stance is just too narrow and the proportions look off. Maybe trade in for a 250 and start modding that :-)
