Great tires...long lasting if you take care of them. Pricey and not as heavy as the Toyo and Nitto's in a comparable tire size. Good all around use tire.

I love mine in lt e rating Im running 285/65/20. Sure a bit of mpg loss but the traction in winter and wet is amazing. Same with highway and gravel roads. I'm sold on these tires ill get another pair when when wear down.

I have the BFG's, 1" taller than stock. I lost a definite 2-3 MPG. I have had several sets on different vehicles. Always been pleased with them in snow and off road, deep mud is their Achilles heel as they do not self clean well, but it is an AT tire after all.

I have found when rotated every oil change they wear like iron and last a long time.

Next time I make go with the Nittos they are becoming very popular and look good too.

I know they will drop the mileage a bit and its something you have to deal with. 3 other trucks have them and work and they wear real good and good traction in snow and ice. Was $60 a tire more to go to duratracs also.

I have had the BFG ATs on multiple vehicles, and my opinion was the same for every vehicle. Good wear, great durability, good dirt traction, but horrible in even the slightest bit of mud.
I will not buy these tires again for one reason in particular. They hydroplane more than any other tire I have ever had due to the lack of flow-through tread. The tread pattern is all over the place and causes lift since the water cant just pass through.

I'll 2nd the hydroplaning. Otherwise a great tire.

Never liked them in the wet. Always seemed to spin with the slightest throttle input.

I checked the 275/70 - $25 cheaper per tire. Nice! Didn't think about the weight, if hate to lose the mileage. I had them on my wrangler, and they were awesome. Also considering the Cooper Discoverer AT3, same size. Can get standard, C, and E rated loads. I need a good tire, but quiet and not terribly $$$.
