Experience needed i have never owned either tire and am torn between the bfg A/T 's or the duratracs . I just don't like the look if the pirelli doesn't feel like a truck tire i cant bring my self to a set of winters for the truck just want the best all terrain for winter . Duratracs are softer i hear better for snow? Some one has mentioned the toyo open country's. any advise is valued thanks

Duratracs are better than BFG A/Ts on wet pavement, snow and mud. I run them on my daily driver Bronco.

What kind of winter? Mild weather with snow? Or damn cold and lots of ice?

My friend has duratacs on his truck. They are essentially hockey pucks during the winter here (Alberta, Canada)

I doubt any A/T will be good on ice.

My preference is BFG's but everyone is different. You'll probably end up in a tie on this one.

My money would be on the Duratracs but that's JMHO. I don't think you'll really be disappointed either way
