I have an Access tonneau cover. Access make AG covers for people who don't have time to mess around. The oldest cover I have is nine years old and still functions as expected.

Access tonneau covers roll up out of the way and keep the rain out of the bed. I've noticed that about every three years I need to spend maybe 30 seconds resetting the cover's tension, a large plastic ****.

When the latches have worn out or been broken, Access has replaced them for free.

The downside: on F150s the sloped rear edge on the cab sends more air down to the top of the cover making it make some wind noise at highway speeds that can be heard when the rear power sliding window is open.

I've got both the limited and original Access covers in extra capacity (sticks up above the truck bed's top edge on the sides), and will buy the original cover again as the duel locks on the limited are not worth it and the dust kit is available on its own anyway.

Good luck, start your own thread addressing the issue, then wait for a promise & Maybe you'll get help!

Never heard of Bak till joining here(Ive owned 4 new trucks since 99'), and Very Glad I chose Extang for my Tonneau Cover! It was the Highest Recommended when I asked here on the Forum, I see why now!

Actually I have heard back from the BAK today. I sent an email to Julian and heard from him already! I sent them the info they requested. Let's see where this goes. On a side note I have always had Extang covers and have had luck with them. Thought I would try something different.

I'm proud you have heard from him, but I suppose he is ignoring me since I was the one that started the thread. I sent him another message early this morning after his long statement, but nothing here.

I might send him an email just to see if I get a reply before the OP too

This is pretty ridiculous.

If I was nasty in my messages I could probably understand his lack of communicating, but I have been very polite in my correspondence...

Here is what I sent:

Julian,

I am sending this message one more time per your request on the F-150 Forum.

Mine is the one with the hinges shrinking and leaking.

I sent a message to you yesterday, but never received a response. I will await a response and post the results, good or bad. I feel that is fair.

Please respond to me with what we need to do to correct the defective cover. I have included my shipping information as well as cell number.
