I have the same cover and the same thing is happing to mine. I have only had it for a year. I haven't noticed any water getting in because all we have is snow at the moment. Took it off of my 12 and installed it on my 13. I will keep an eye in it to see what happens.

McCarthy, this is Julian Maimin, president if Bak industries. Your hinges should not shrink at all. Even though your cover is out if warranty, I will replace it for you.

Retired and loving it!
Nice customer service....but this could get expensive for you with all the BakFlips here on this forum.....Thank you for stepping up for him, and others with this concern!

With the top closed slide in and look up at the hinge from the bottom. If you can see light, it's going to leak!
