I could see a drop if I had gone to a larger dia tire, but the weight increase per tire isn't enough to hurt mpg.
The heavier tires will hurt acceleration in the city more than once up to speed on the highway.

FYI : The Pirelli Scorpions ATR were the worst of all tires tested for rolling resistance, tied the Pirelli Scorpion STR A for last place. They also had the worst tire wear of all tires.
Compare the Goodyear Wrangler SR -A and you lose 2 to 3 mpg running 20" Pirellis.

Are you saying 2mpg over stock or over the higher rolling resistant tires? 2mpg pays for itself in a year at 4k in gas...

I'm saying an F150 with the stock Goodyear SR -A will get 2 to 3 mpg better than the stock Pirellis on the 20" rims.
So if you're wondering why your Platinum gets worse mileage than an equivalent XLT check out the rubber.

I'm just baffeled at the amount of concern of MPG's on this site. It's an F-150 with the aerodynamics of a brick, it has the highest rated HP in V8 or turbo'd V6 over competitors and with power comes a price! Yet people are crying because they are getting poor gas milage. If you wanted better gas milage, you should have gotten a Ford Fiesta!

I'm equally baffled by those that get upset/baffled by those that want their truck but wouldnt mind getting a few extra MPGs. If you can have a little bit better blend of both... why not?

DCFLUID,
Do you have a link to the results? Curiosity has the best of me now.

I say its perfectly fine for those who need or solely just want a truck to make it more efficient. Why not? I dont see why it bothers anyone. I Love my truck and i love good mileage why not try and brin it up?
