Default Rhino Hardline - Who has actual experience?

Hey guys. I've read the countless battle of the bed liner threads but everyone typically just posts what they personally have and says the others suck with no background.

I have looked and have 99% decided to go with Rhino Linings Hardline. It's the cheapest option and seems as though it will be strong and durable. I don't care about sun fading (I have a tonneau cover) and understand that prep work is king.

My question is..

Who has Hardline installed or knows someone who does and can offer real world feedback? How does it hold up? Does it tear? Bed still dent easily? Does is scratch easily from mild use?

I haul my ATV, deer during hunting season, a generator and water/gas cans as well as the occasional piece of furniture and lumber. Real input would really be appreciated regarding specifically the Hardline product.

Thanks!

I don't know whether to assume that because no one commented that it's a bad product no one has purchased or that hardline owners simply don't frequent the forum. Concerning either way.

When I bought my F150, the guy I bought it from had the bed Rhino lined. It was pretty durable and was really thick. The best thing I liked about it was you could set something in the bed and it wouldn't slide around. The only issue I had with mine is that it somehow got a greenish tint to it.

I'm guessing the above poster has the Rhino Tuff-Grip (and not the Hard Line)

I'm still deciding, but leaning towards Line-X at the moment. Need to wait a couple months anyway for the fundage.

I'd recommend finding a shop that does it and actually drive by to look/feel for yourself. I did that with a Rhino shop, and saw a Line-X bed from a fellow forum member in person.

Rhino now has the lifetime guarantee as well so "if" it would happen to break/peel/etc. you should be covered there.

I've got it. Seems pretty durable. Truthfully I don't see much of a difference vs the Line-X I had in my last truck.

Thanks for the input guys. Kseniuk hit my primary thought process. Assuming the Hardline holds up and doesn't tear, crack, etc which would all be covered under the lifetime warranty I'm wondering what the point is. Two weeks after the bed is done and I'm over the "check out my new bedliner" bit my guess is all of them will function as designed and suit their intended purpose. I like quality as much or more than anyone here but assuming the application is done correctly I'm suspecting I'll be happy either way.

Thanks again guys.

I have a rhino liner in my 2010 xlt. Its great, alot better than the stock liner which is still on my tailgate because of the tailgate step, they couldnt put the liner over top of that. But ive slid ladders and hauled barbeques and loads of plywood in the liner and so far its held up great, its rubberized but its a hard rubber so its not going to tear on you. It looks softer than it really is. I don't have a tonneau cover but I'm not worried. Go for it!

I have had line-x, rhino lining tuffgrip, and now have rhino hardline. Of the three, I prefer hardline hands down. Quality wise, in the hands of a good installer, there's not much quality/protective difference between line-x and rhino. There are, however, texture differences. The old Rhino (tuffgrip) had the most pleasing texture and most sound deadening, but you couldn't drag a pallet off of a bed coated with it. Line-x had (has) more of an epoxy like finish, not kind to skin or knees, not as effective at deadening sound, didn't keep gear from sliding around as well, but you could slide a heavy load off the bed of a line-x truck a lot easier than one with tuffgrip. Now, let's talk about hardline. I figured hardline, from rhino's website descriptions, was basically the same as line-x. I didn't want line-x, too hard and abrasive for my usage. But I checked it out anyway. It is more like a cross between rhino tuffgrip and line-x. Dampens road noise and feels more rubbery than line-x, but is far harder/stiffer than rhino tuffgrip. Of the three, the hardline is far and above my favorite. Two of my partners have purchased new trucks since I got mine done, and both went with hardline from the same installer I used. All three coatings performed well for me, but with kids in the back and using the bed as a seating area for ballgames, etc., the more forgiving surface of hardline was best for me. Good luck whatever you choose.

I went with the Hardline and am very pleased. It is durable, I've slide treestands, deer, heavy boxes, spare tires, etc in and out without so much as scuffing it.

More over I was excited about the liner for about two weeks, showing everyone I could talk into looking, but now it's simply there and useful.
