Best wax

There are lots of good waxes out there. The Collinite 845 is very popular on this site and yields excellent results. I have also done very well with Meguiar's and Mothers, as well as The Wax Shop. Once you get past wax and into clay bars, sealers, glazes, and minor correction compounds, Meguiar's and Mothers are probably equally excellent, but everyone has a favorite.

If you have dark paint autoglym ultra deep shine works really well. One step wax that's a cleaner and protectant. Adds depth to dark paint and metallic. Lasts about 3 or 4 months on a single coat.
Another good one is klasse all in one. Expensive but one of the best waxes available. Synthetic too so it lasts a long time.
