There's a reason Bill's tunes are the best. He wrote the stock tunes for Ford, and then the canned tunes for Edge. Now he has his own business and has custom tuned over 5000 vehicles, and is hands down the person with the most experience tuning Ford motors.

Correct me if I'm wrong here, but it looks like he makes custom tunes for the Edge tuner I mentioned in my first post?

^ Yes, Bill's business (PHP) has the exclusive rights to custom tune Edge products. He worked for Edge for a number of years, and decided he wanted to run his own business. He left on very friendly terms and even helped them with the development of the CS and CTS when it came out.

You might have just sold me! I like the idea of the Edge because I can change tunes on the fly with that CTS programmer... wouldn't have to pull out the bulky SCT (not hating) and plug it in, the convinience factor is pushing me in that direction alone!

So he only does edge products, no sct products, right?

He's the only one that can custom tune Edge products, but he's pretty much a wizard and does SCT too.

either way you go you can't tune on the fly. i have a sct tsx touch screen monitor with other features.to upload a tune you should be somewhere where you can sit for like 15-20 minutes and upload the tune on the truck. both brands are good. i was happy with mine. the tsx can be plugged in at all times and you can look at a bunch of different gauges. it also has features like a dyno run, 0-60, quarter mile run, and even a code reader for check engine codes. i researched alot before i bought and the 2 brands are pretty much the same from all the research i did. good luck both brands are great let us know what you pull the trigger on

Awesome thanks for the heads up on tune time, I like the TSX also, it compares more to the Edge CTS pretty solid so that would probably be more up my alley if I do go SCT. I really like the thought of an LCD where I can monitor everything and do the dyno run, 0-60, and quarter mile... dammit life is full of hard coices!

tag for interest.

I'll have to call him as his site confuses me. All I want is a simple basic programmer for towing and different fuel grades. Looking at his site it says basic is $299 but then starts saying its $30 for upgrades ?????

My mother dropped me on my head when I was young.... SEVERAL times.
