Hum, I've had the Pace Edwards Jack rabbit, Tonneau Masters flat velcro roll up with intergrated (velcroed) bars, Fords OEM bifold hard ABS locking tonneau cover, Extang Solid Fold (trifold aluminum locking hard folding cover), and now Extang Classic Platinum (snap) rolling tonneau covers.

The best ones?? That's easy, the Ford OEM bifold hard ABS locking cover but it was only OEM for the 2008 Sport Trac and Ford doesn't make one for the F150.:censored:

Second best is what I'm using now, my $180 Extang Classic Platinum. Fits great, made great, easily removable in cold and hot, after adding some extra foam seals it 100% leak proof, and looks good. Did I mention I paid under $200 for this gem??:D

Jack Rabbit = Garbage! Made like garbage, leaks like not having a cover, fits poorly, takes up 1' of bed space at the bulk head, and requires you cut into the bedliner and bed drain holes to put ignorant drain tubes! BTW, this POS was $1000. It went to the garbage man. I would had been better to just burn $1000 and not have the stress from multiple dealer repair attempts.

Tonneau Master brand cover = Premium quality but cover rails attached to the inside of the bed rails where water was pulled into every crack from gravity. It leaked moderately to be a concern but not a terrible bother. It was $420.

Ford OEM = BEST. Leak proof, theft proof, but was 70# and ackward to take off by yourself. Keep in mind this was for a midsize 4' bed so it was heavy. It was $500 ordered with the truck or $1100 if bought through Ford Accessories.

Extang Solid Fold cover = Garbage. Not as bad as the Jack Rabbit by a mile but aluminum dented from road debris and hail. Quality was poor and it was falling apart. Extang even replaced with a second because of panel bends near hinge points and leaks. 2nd redesigned was leak proof but still fell apart and dented by just looking at it. It was a whopping $800.

Extang Classic Platinum = Great cover. Rolls up easily and bars come off easily. Snaps have 2 settings to make it easier to snap in the winter. Bars have 2 settings for a more flat/loose fit or a more arced/tight fit. After installing some extra foam seals on the corners, it is water tight. It is a very quality piece and the cheapest cover I've owned by far. This is definitely a keeper. It's water tight because it sits on top of the bed rails, not inside them like other 'premium' covers. There's no gravity pulling water into the seals to find any void. It cost was $180.

Truck Covers USA or Retrax gets my vote. Had a Roll n Lock but the vinyl split after a few years.

Hard Cover, retrax is hands down best, soft I'd have to go truxedo deuce, especially if you have the side bed steps, it also opens from the front. It's the one I have but my next will be retrax for sure for added security of a hard Cover.

I had the Access Vanish on my F150 and the Velcro wore out. I decided to replace with Bakflip Fibermax and like it so much better.

I have the Extang Revolution cover. It works great and it is a low profile design. It bolts onto the bed rails with no drilling. I'm with you on the BackFlip, when you want to use your bed, you can't see out your back window. Just my 2 cents, enjoy!

+1, Very happy with my Extang Revolution. It's a very low profile design with clean edges, without the "beveled" look where the tonneau is stretched and bent an inch over each side like some other products.

I like my new roll-x. The first one they sent me was an abortion. The new one with redesigned rails and perfect fit is spectacular. Love it.
