Make sure you get a truck with sufficient payload. Because some higher end F150's have pathetic payload and towing due to all the extra's, like the older limited and new raptor.

To the op, I noticed when I build my truck online the XLT had a higher payload then same truck built as a fx4 or lariat to that's positive. Also I noticed the tries on the XLT I have ( I have max tow) are load range "C" tires. I thought they would of been load "D" since my max tow is rated for 11,200lbs. . So OP look and see the load range on your tires. If there are load range "C" the your tires should be fine.

I just bought an xlt saturday with 302a,4x4, spray in liner, tailgate step, and wheel well liners. It was $31618 out the door tax tag and all, but mines a scab and x-plan, and that was with a 1500$ trade.
