Which Gauge did you use for the vent mount?
That looks kewl. would like to do that to my 2014 Ecoboost.
Thanks
Thanks
Some of my low-cost mods...
Blackout F150 badges and mirror reflectors (SEM satin black trim paint, removed painted, reinstalled. Not plastidip):
Blackout Hood (3M 1080 vinyl):
Rail mounted mountain bike carrier (Yakima Bedhead, under rail reinforcement, L-track rear hold down):
Horse stall mats for winter traction:
iPad Nav mount (RAM mount components)
Roush Vent-pod gauge mount (gauge not included):
Paddle shift mod (duplicates +/- button functionality on shifter). This was a prototype, but it worked so well I never went to V2:
Also, LED motion sensor bed lights, door chime delete, HID fog/headlight upgrade, USB2 mod, V1 mirror mount, and quite a few 'just a bit more expensive' mods! This thread is out of date, but shows some of them. https://www.f150forum.com/f38/build-...fx4-tt-100373/

So, I might as well finally post this, although it's hardly a new idea. In January 2016, I bought this cheap kit after reading many posts about it early on in this thread, and 3 weeks ago I got around to installing it in my tailgate. Didn't really like the mounting hardware that came with it, so I bought an L tie instead. Already owned wire and wiretaps, so this project cost me ~$9 and a few hours. Most of that was trying to figure out how to attach the actuator, and getting it in there with my XXL hands.
Love having the gate lock with the rest of the doors.
Also, found Amazon has dropped the Bull Ring price to $22 for 2 rings. List is $29. May go back to that price, with how Amazon works. And, Bullring has made a special fit model (model 4038) for our offset problem on the 6.5' beds. I'm not sure when this came out, but I think it was this summer because I don't remember it from last time I shopped. So, I bought two 4028s for the back stake holes and two 4038s for the front. All 4 installed in minutes, and only cost $44.

I'd like to do the tailgate lock actuator mod too, but my wiring skills aren't to that point yet. Someday...
Thanks

If you attempt the door locks, a meter is almost mandatory. There are so many wires, and so many repeats of colors, you have to be able to measure them. For the 2 wires, I think there were 3 for one of them and at least 4 for the other. Got one on the first try, was the 3rd one for the 2nd wire to find the actual door lock wires.

Those Bullrings look clean. I got the ones with the "Ford texture" (4018) to match the bedrails on my 2010 6.5' bed. They're a great addition but don't look AS natural as those ones. The center bows in a little once you crank them down with a screwdriver.
I spent $25 on the first rear set. Liked them and decided to get a pair for the front so I went back to Amazon and the price had dropped to $20.

No comments from any Plasti-dip haters...
So tired of the chrome on my XLT "chrome package". Decided to darken the wheels and bumpers. dipyourcar.com had a sale on Dark Gray but it had a blueish tint in sunlight so I top coated with Anthracite Gray. I also covered all of my remaining chrome with Matte Clear Plasti-dip and it gave it a brushed nickle look. I'm chrome free without a total black out. Total cost, $40.

My first and only truck was an FX-2 so I didn't even realize how much of a difference the paint matched bumpers and mirrors makes.
