I did a little research and it appears that Fluid film can get into tighter areas and tight areas better then amsoil...but the Fluid film never hardens..so I'm thinking using a combo of the two would be great!

they are a ton of videos on youtube comparing the old AMSOIL HD metal protector to fluid film but that was the old stuff that was also a good chain lube
this new stuff is more protection and less lube. We now have a dedicated chain lube.

are you referring This one

or this one?

I used the Straw to get into tight areas like the frame by the fuel tank.

Its the silver can I'm talking about....and what i meant by getting into tighter places was that the Fluid Film has more "fluidity" to seap into creases, but it also washes away easier since it doesn't cure. That's why i said maybe using both.

I'm sure some prep work would be needed if you truck is starting to look like it has some age on it. My truck is a 16. I bought it because it was a left over and got great rebates. But it sat on the lot for a year before I got it. And I have about 4000 miles on it. I wanted to treat it before it started looking much worse. I wash my truck a lot (I have an unlimited car wash plan at the place next to my office) so I will be able to tell how well it holds up.
