This was an arguement a couple of pages ago. Some feel that's too expensive and would rather use para cord or the likes. Myself, I like that kit and would pay that.

If you order it, you'll be happy!
I understand the argument... I get it.
(Nothing wrong with saving a few bucks).

I have a thin stainless coated cable that I used on mine 2 years ago & works perfect......
BUT.... I bought 2 kits!!!!
Let me tell you, the quality is excellent!
There is nothing wrong with anyone liking their homemade system... Hell... I did too.... but if there's a better and nicer idea that is still reasonably priced- we'll count me in!
It's not cheap... but it's not expensive either.

When you do see the quality & design and finished product in your hand, it IS worth it.
It costs less than filling up a 36 gallon fuel tank...

I might get one. Did the diy, but one side is stiff or the angles are off and I keep shredding key rings trying to open it. Not sure if Builtright's will work better.

I just got mine from Builtright the other day, quality looks great, haven't had a chance to install it yet. Had free shipping since they were behind or getting orders out so saved a few bucks there, just had to wait a little longer which was fine with me.

Quick tip, use windex and a squeegee (or credit card) to adjust and apply the tint.

I think it looks a lot better than the reflective film it came with and it's not very noticeable from the outside.

Also unless you open the lid all the way up you wont see it because its recessed in there.

I have a LC9 as well, I will definitely be doing this. Thank you.

My favorite is the raptor-esque 5.0L emblem

Pretty cool on a mustang, but would be waaay better on an F150

LC9? I think my console lid has a different configuration (2012 SCREW) but if my PF9 fits, then I'll have to bring it out of retirement
