No issues with mine either, of course it doesn't get used as much as most, but it has been flawless.

I also put a dab of synthetic Grease (really light stuff) on the pivot ***** every 6 months. Not sure if it's helping anything, but I figure it can't hurt.

I'm pretty sure most of the issues were two generations of product ago and they've mostly engineered out what they could with the current generation of products.

Plus my truck is in the bodyshop, getting a new bumper, so my boxes are sitting in the garage.
I'm also going to write about, what a lousy truck this 2016 Ram 1500 is.
How they keep selling, I'll never understand!

Okay, I just picked up my rig. She's back to perfect again and it was only a 3 day turnaround...
I threw the boxes on and took a couple pics, before I had to leave again.
So, I bought a couple hangers. The type you would use to hang a painting..
I somehow had foam gaskets that fit perfect, but I would silicone under the hanger, if I didn't find those lying around.
Then obviously drilled holes and pop riveted them to the back of the top, with the loop hanging down, so it can grab a 5 inch spring.
I was going to put the same type of hanger to grab the spring at the bottom, but just bending it straight, and sticking it through a 1/32 hole, then reworked it inside. Working great so far.

I'll make a video tomorrow, but with a little nudge the top opens softly and doesn't stress the lids plastic hinges when it fully opens.
Doesn't even come close to the support arm, that the box latches onto.

Has anyone disassembled their steering wheel? Specifically to remove the trim piece that goes around the buttons and around the bottom of the wheel? Looking to possibly wrap it in a similar style as the platinum (the brushed look) but if it's next to impossible, I'd pass. assuming the airbag+cover would have to be removed first.
