No I didn't. Should've clarified better. I tapped into the wiring for the dome lights in the door sills on each side. Just pulled the sills off and fed the wires through the grommets on each side and to the correct wire. They were the small purple wires on both sides for my truck, but yours might vary.

There's a small lip under the doors that I butted the strip against. I also used a thin coat of shoe goo to stick them to the truck, just for extra adhesion from the elements. It's easy enough to heat up the goo for removal as well.

Most of the string lights are 12 volt and only require an adapter if you're using them indoors. I chose the 5630 LEDs since they're the brightest. 3528 are really dim, so just keep that in mind.

You can get the same off eBay. I use the 50/50 300-600 ones and they work great.

I'm actually thinking about using the rest for bed lights, but I have a toolbox and plastic bedliner. It isn't fastened under the rails, so I need to find a way to keep the top of the bedliner tight/flush before putting the LEDs under the rail.
