Thanks, I have a few rolls of these lights and will put a short strip under the truck to supplement the puddle lights.

There's a small lip under the doors that I butted the strip against. I also used a thin coat of shoe goo to stick them to the truck, just for extra adhesion from the elements. It's easy enough to heat up the goo for removal as well.

What all is needed? Can these strips be cut and if so what would you use to connect wires to the second strip if the end is cut? I quickly checked Amazon and it said home decorative on a few of them? Which ones did you use?

My bad, I actually got them on eBay, but these are the ones I used. You can cut them every 3 LEDs (there's scissor lines showing where you can cut). Then you need to cut or scrape off the coating to expose the copper terminals and solder wires onto those. They're marked with + and - to omit confusion. After soldering make sure to use silicone to cover the ends.

Most of the string lights are 12 volt and only require an adapter if you're using them indoors. I chose the 5630 LEDs since they're the brightest. 3528 are really dim, so just keep that in mind.

You can get the same off eBay. I use the 50/50 300-600 ones and they work great.

I looked at those, but the 5630 are brighter and that's what I wanted

Cool, I use the 50/50 for bed lights and have amp boards with their LEDs that do what you did.

I'm actually thinking about using the rest for bed lights, but I have a toolbox and plastic bedliner. It isn't fastened under the rails, so I need to find a way to keep the top of the bedliner tight/flush before putting the LEDs under the rail.
