I have that same antenna, or very close to it, and it works great. No reduction in range, I live outside of town so the radio towers are about 50 miles away.

It also has survived many trips through the car wash without any damage.

Good to know! I wash my truck myself so no worries about damage from that for me, but good to know it should stay nice and functional for a while. I liked the stubby by CravenSpeed but found tons of mixed reviews about reception. I listen to satellite radio most of the time anyways, or Pandora and so there have been no ill side effects for me, yet. It seems fairly sturdy for a universal from Auto Zone and for less than half the cost of the Stubby, it was a no-brainer.
