Iv been contemplating doing this-

since i'm blacking out my truck i thought id stick these circles on my mirror blinker spray it black(plasti dip) to match the plastic then removing the dots leaving small yellow circles which would leave the blinker functional !!

how do you think that would look ??

Depends on where you placed the LEDs, underneath the reflectors. The LED placement would determine how well/bright they show up with those two dots. At worse... You'd get some light. I think it will be all but useless during the day though, if you even care.

Give it a try with some black tape or plastidip 1st if you are unsure. If you like it you can go permanent.

I assume you installed LED's since those don't blink from the factory. You could also coat the lens with the SMOKE spray they have at the auto store, more light would come through vs the plastidip.

My biggest reason for doing the LED mod was people in front of me could see me doing lane changes when I'm in heavy traffic. Can't imagine this would work very well during the day.

Can't take credit for this mod. They were on the truck when I bought it used 3 months ago.

I have been happy with them, seem to put out plenty of light and have a sharp cut off line.

Also have had a lot of comments on them, none negative.

That is one of my favorite mods I've done so far. Real easy & real cheap. Best bang for the buck also.
Not to mention, the puzzled look I get from other f-150 driver's is always worth a quick laugh.

No comments from any Plasti-dip haters...

So tired of the chrome on my XLT "chrome package". Decided to darken the wheels and bumpers. dipyourcar.com had a sale on Dark Gray but it had a blueish tint in sunlight so I top coated with Anthracite Gray. I also covered all of my remaining chrome with Matte Clear Plasti-dip and it gave it a brushed nickle look. I'm chrome free without a total black out. Total cost, $40.

That toned down the chrome nicely. I almost went that way a couple years ago.

Thanks, I'll try this vs. the vinyl for now. $5 fix and I did all 5 handles and the F150 badges. Looks like the Platinum finish on the grille, almost a matte silver.

That's my thought as well.
